Embracing A nEw Season Of Change

Navigating Change With Flow and Grace

Welcome to October! Autumn has officially kicked off and brought us our new theme of Fabulous Fall: Embracing Seasons of Change.
This week I'll be soaking up some of those familiar childhood feelings of fall with vibrant fall foliage and cozy sweater weather while on a trip back home. But more than just experiencing the physical changes of the seasons, I am walking into a big change in my own life that I want to share with you!
As many of you who have been coming to classes in Taipei know, 2026 has been quite an eventful year with passing my NBHWC board exam, tying the knot, and preparing to welcome a baby in 2027! So many changes in just one year!
I feel so incredibly lucky, loved, and supported by those in my life and community. And still, it's a lot to take in and prepare for! I can feel shifts in my heart, mind, and body that are new, exciting, and challenging at moments, as I'm sure all the moms out there have experienced.
Over the next couple of months, you’ll notice that I'll be taking a bit of time off for my family's trip to Taipei for our wedding celebration, as well as the absence of newsletters here and there.
I want to assure all of my students that I am happy, healthy, and carefully monitoring my energy so that I can put the baby's wellbeing at the forefront of my decisions. Now more than ever I am loving each and every class I teach, savoring the time I have on the dance floor with all of you before my maternity leave begins at the end of the year, or possibly even into January!
This has already been a lesson in listening to where my body is at and stepping into a new season with a little less control, and more flow and grace as I embrace the changes that are happening and still to come.
What is happening in your season of life? How can you honor that season by what you choose for your health and wellbeing?
As a reminder, classes will be on hold while I'm traveling until October 15th, so I will see you on the dance floor after that or online anytime, anywhere!
Keep moving!
xx,
Katie
