What makes you love how you move?
A few weeks ago while I was on my Chinese New Year holiday in New Zealand and Australia, I found myself amazed by the beautiful natural scenery, but also by the diversity of bodies I saw there. It was a great reminder for me of the shapes, sizes, and colors beauty comes in! Sometimes, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by comparing yourself to others or just one idea of what a perfect body might be. One of the things that I want to work on most is walking the fine line between self-acceptance and body appreciation with pushing myself to hit new goals and challenges.
To me, Fit+ Flaunt Burlesque Fitness is about just that. Some of the slower and sexier rhythms we dance to in class allow me to enjoy being in my body and to feel beautiful in how I move-- all while still working up a sweat! Doing what sort of things make you love the way you move?
Last week, Vincent, my youngest student, won a Katie Moves Taipei T-shirt by receiving the most likes for his post using #katiemovestaipei.
